Like every year at the beginning of June, Moraira celebrates one of its most important festivals: the Moors and Christians. From June 6 to 12 you will be able to enjoy a wide program to commemorate a festivity so characteristic of the municipality.
“Summer is back and with it Moraira fills with colour. We can now smell the gunpowder, feel the music and start preparing our costumes because the Moors and Christians are back. I want to encourage everyone to participate with more enthusiasm than ever in one of our most representative festivals, a living history that makes up the identity of Teulada Moraira”, stated the Councilor for Fiestas, Rosana Caselles.
Thus, from the Central Board of Moors and Christians in collaboration with the Teulada City Council and other entities, a varied program of events has been prepared so that residents and visitors can enjoy the Moors and Christians of Moraira.

Friday June 3
7:30 p.m. Inauguration of the Andalusian Medieval Market.
Saturday June 4
12:00 p.m. Concentration of Moors and Christians in the Urban Forest and preparation of the brotherhood meal. All enlivened by the Bataclán de Jalón brass band.
Monday June 6
8:00 p.m. Concert by the British Choir in the Moraira Parish.
Wednesday June 8
8:00 p.m. Party proclamation. Concert by the Colla El Falçó, Association of Dolçainers and Tabaleters of Teulada and l'Agrupació Musical Cultural de Teulada in Doctor Calatayud street. Award ceremony of the drawing contest.
Thursday June 9
7:30 p.m. Concentration of all the rows in the Fortí and parade, accompanied by the Colla El Falçó, Association of Dolçainers and Tabaleters of Teulada and the Colla La Llebetjà from Poble Nou de Benitatxell to the Castle Esplanade.
8:00 p.m. Pennant presentation ceremony on the esplanade of the Castle. At the end, fellowship dinner.
Friday June 10
1:00 p.m. Concentration of all the rows in the Fortí and parade with harquebus.
1:30 p.m. Shot from an arquebus in the Esplanade of the Castle.
7:15 p.m. Offering of flowers in honor of the Holy Christ of Moraira in the Hermitage of the Castle.
10:30 p.m. Parade of the Moorish and Christian sides to the beach.
11:00 p.m. Moorish Conquest on La Ampolla Beach, followed by the Moorish Embassy and Moraira Castle Conquest. Next, decapitanies night.
Saturday June 11
08:00 a.m. Despertá general with harquebuses and brass band.
11:00 a.m. Concentration of all the rows in the Fortí and parade with flags.
12:00 p.m. Mass in honor of the Holy Christ in the Moraira Parish and parade.
1:30 p.m. Shooting from an arquebus on the Esplanade of the Castle and an informal parade of filás.
7:30 p.m. Parade of the Moorish and Christian sides to the beach.
8:00 p.m. Christian reconquest on the Ampolla beach. Assault on Moraira Castle by the Christian Band followed by the Christian Embassy and Reconquest of the Castle.
00:00h Popular Retreat from Fortí. Next, Cábilas Night with a performance by the LA METRO orchestra on Avenida del Portet.
Sunday June 12
08:00 a.m. Wake up general with harquebuses.
12:00 p.m. Parade with harquebus from El Fortí.
12:30 p.m. Shot from an arquebus in the Esplanade of the Castle.
7:00 p.m. Entrance of Music Bands from the Castle to the Fortí.
8:00 p.m. Grand Gala Parade of the Moors and Christians. At the end of the parade Fireworks castle.
