Last Saturday, a blue tide filled the streets of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell with the II Donut Race by equality, which was postponed in March to this weekend after it could not be held due to the rain.

This solidarity event had the participation of some 150 registered people. 400 euros were raised for aprosdeco (Association for the Mentally Handicapped of Dénia and the Marina Alta Region), which works to promote and make available to people with functional diversity all the resources to improve their quality of life.

A raffle with gifts from local businesses, zumba in the open air and inflatables for the little ones completed the day. “We want to thank the collaboration of the Housewives Association, the Club Multiesport Benitatxell, the Department of Social Services, the municipal brigade, the Police, Civil Protection and the participating local businesses. Without all of them, this type of act would not come out. Everyone has turned to making the II Donut Race a success”, highlighted the Councilor for Equality and Inclusive Policies, Víctor Bisquert.
