

The V Solidarity Race of Ondara for the benefit of Spanish Association Against Cancer It will be held on Sunday, October 2. The Mayor of Ondara, José Ramiro, participated in the presentation of the solidarity sports event; the Councilor for Sports, Mar Chesa; the head of the Local Police, Toni Galiano; the president of the Local Meeting of Ondara of the AECC, Mª Carmen Bisquert; and the representative of the Ondara Athletics Club, Juan Ginestar.
Registration can be made until September 28 on the www.somesport.com website, and also in person at local businesses: Calzados Dora, La Furiona, Deportes Coláis, Naturalmente (herbalist), Ondara Ópticos, Ferretería Llúzar, and Allianz Insurance. The registration fee, 5 euros, will go entirely to the benefit of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. The organization works with a forecast of high participation, hoping to reach more than a thousand registrations.
The exit of the V Solidarity Race de Ondara will be at 9:30 am on Sunday October 2 from Prado. Before, at 9 o'clock, there will be a warm-up to encourage the race; then the check will be delivered in favor of AECC and the manifest will be read. Later, at the end of the race, there will also be an animation for all participants.
The race will have a 4.2 km urban circuit for walkers, while for runners the route will be increased to 7 km. The race will pass through the Xebics, Mollons and Alfatares games (the runners will reach Torrecarrals). The collection of the bib numbers can be carried out on Friday, September 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Decathlon de Ondara; on Saturday, October 1 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Prado; and the same day of the race, Sunday October 2, before the start of the race.
The Councilor for Sports, Mar Chesa, thanked the effort made by the AECC Local Board in organizing the race; has highlighted the collaboration of the Ondara Athletics Club, and has made a call for solidarity, since all the proceeds obtained from this sporting event will go entirely to the AECC for research into the fight against cancer, as stressed the president of the Local Board, Mª Carmen Bisquert, who has encouraged citizens to register and participate in this solidarity race. Mar Chesa has also thanked the collaboration of the Local Police, Civil Protection, and Ondara Custom Club in holding the race.
For its part, the AECC Local Board has invested in the event and has achieved the collaboration, through sponsorship, of more than 150 local and regional companies, which have put their grain of sand and contributed financially in the solidarity race.
The president of the Local Board, Mª Carmen Bisquert, has thanked all of them for their contribution and has encouraged citizens to register and participate in the solidarity race. He has stressed his gratitude to the Department of Sports and the Ondara Athletics Club for making the race a reality, showing his hope that it will be a success again and more than a thousand participants are exceeded.
