
Today September 27 commemorates the world tourism day, an anniversary with which it is intended to value and give the recognition it deserves to this sector, as a crucial pillar of the economy and development. In our region, where the industry tour is key, different events related to this date have been programmed.
Tourism and Sustainability
In Calp, tomorrow Wednesday the 28th, there will be a conference at the La Casa Nova University Headquarters, under the title “The Mediation of Calpe Tourism Sustainability”.
As explained by the councilor for the area, Paco Avargues, the program includes the presentation of the sustainability report prepared by the CEO of Bioscore. A call in which the Director General of Tourism, Herick Campos, and the mayoress of the town, Ana Sala, will participate.
Avargues points out that this conference aims to bring tourist destinations such as Calp closer to tools for measuring tourism sustainability and to publicize its main indicators. The activity, scheduled to start at 10 in the morning, is aimed at companies, professionals and technicians in the tourism sector.
Tourism Gala
In Benissa, the City Council, has organized for this Thursday, September 29, a Gala with which to put the final climax of the 25th anniversary of the Tourist Office Township. As Jorge Ivars, councilor for the area, recalled, the renowned coach, Luis Galindo, will be the special guest of the 25th Anniversary of Tourism Gala. Event that has been scheduled from 7:00 p.m. at the Center d'Art Taller de Ivars.
Galindo will offer a motivational conference for all businessmen in the sector and all those who want to join the event.
From the Department of Tourism, Jorge Ivars, assures that this will be the final touch of a calendar of actions with which it has been tried to value the work carried out over the last 25 years in terms of tourism in the town. Two round tables have also been scheduled in which businessmen from the tourism sector will participate. The aim is to continue promoting this sector, key to the local economy.
