Benitatxell allocates 4,500 euros to transport aid for students

The Department of Youth launches one more year the help mobility for students. This grant will benefit both University students and of master, like baccalaureate and training cycles middle and higher grade. Likewise, students who do not use the bus transport already subsidized to the IES Teulada can also opt for the aid.

Since last year, the amount dedicated to these grants has increased, going from 3,000 to 4,500 euros, with a maximum individual amount of 180 euros. "This scholarship will help many families who have difficulties to meet all the expenses of having a student child", pointed out the councilor for the area, Víctor Bisquert, who has highlighted the importance of "giving the young people of our people, regardless of their economic situation, the possibility of building a future for themselves".

To be eligible for these scholarships, it is necessary to be registered in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell for at least the year prior to the call and be under 30 years of age. In the case of high school students or middle and higher cycles, the essential requirement is to have been enrolled in the 2021/2022 academic year and have passed the 50% of the subjects.

As for university students, they must be enrolled in Spanish centers with validity throughout the national territory and have passed at least 35 credits. If it is the last year of studies, the minimum to be passed must be equal to the credits enrolled. Students of university education adapted to the European Higher Education Area leading to official undergraduate degrees or those of university education leading to obtaining official titles of Graduate, Engineer, Architect, Diploma, Technical Engineer may also choose. Finally, in the case of those who are studying a master's degree, the only requirement is to be enrolled and have obtained the accrediting degree.

Applications can be submitted until November 22 (there is a one month deadline from the day after the approval of the bases in the BOP) by electronic office or in person at the Citizen Service Office (Carrer de les Escoles, 2) , Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The required documentation and application forms can be consulted here.
