He project Donate and Esport of the council of Sports of Xàbia has been one of those chosen by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces to benefit from one of the subsidies to promote sports programs that help reduce inequality.
The aid, of 1,866.69 euros, has been approved within this line linked to the 2030 Agenda and whose priority is the promotion of physical and sports activity, and focusing mainly on groups such as women and girls, people with disabilities, vulnerable groups or at risk of exclusion or any other group in a situation of economic and/or social inequality.
Dona i Esport, is an initiative launched by the councilor Alberto Tur in 2021 to give visibility to women athletes from Xàbia in disciplines generally led by men. In addition to filling the publicity billboards of the municipality with the faces of the local sports teams, a cycle of conferences, seminars and sports activities was organized.
