MACMA organizes a new edition of the VI Marina Alta Fair: check its schedule

The fair 'with the 5 senses: The ear', which will be held on November 12 and 13 in Ondara, is a tribute to musical societies

The Comarcial Commonwealth of the Marina Alta organizes a new edition of the VI Marina Alta Fair after two years that this event could not be held normally due to the pandemic. On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November, in the Prado de Ondara, will be held again VI Marina Alta Fair with the 5 senses.

The VI Marina Alta Fair with the 5 senses is an event that is preceded by the regional tourist fair of 2015; the 2016 gastronomic-themed one, the 2017 wine one, the 2018 tribute to the Marina Alta landscape, and the 2019 “El tacto”: Know-how, trades and artisans” held before the pandemic and in the which already outlined the guidelines to promote the region through the motto "La Marina Alta with the 5 senses".

A strategic meeting that brings together different towns in the region under the same framework of promotion and collaboration. In this sense, the VI Marina Alta Fair with the 5 senses: The ear is a tribute to musical societies, which will bring together on November 12 and 13 in Prado de Ondara the stands of the Pego and les Valls town halls (Pego, la Vall d'Ebo, la Vall d'Alcalà, Vall de Chicken Coop and l'Atzúbia Forna); Beniarbeig; Benidoleig; Castell de Castells; Denia ; Benitachell; The Verger; Els Poblets; Gorgos cat; La Vall de Laguar; Orba; Pedreguer; Javea; and Ondara.

Given the sense to which the fair is dedicated this year, the ear, this event will be closely linked to music and associative entities from the region and cultural management companies from the Marina Alta, linked to the world of music, will also participate. The VI Marina Alta Fair with the 5 senses. The ear will have a Forum with the following program:

Programming

Saturday November 12

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. – El Prado
10:00 am – Opening of the VI Marina Alta Fair, with the 5 senses.
12:00 pm to 12:30 pm – Official opening. The regional authorities will leave from the Town Hall and will go to Prado, accompanied by the Colla de dolçaines i tabals de Ondara.
1:00 p.m. – Act of recognition of the cultural trajectory of the musical groups of the Marina Alta. With the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community - Marina Alta Area and the Valencian Federation of Dolçainers/res and Tabaleters/res - Marina Alta Area The act will be enlivened by a musical representation of the different Musical Societies of the region.
5:00 pm – Round table 'The evolution and recovery of the dolçaina and the tabal, and its position in music conservatories'. In charge of the Valencian Federation of Dolçainers/res and Tabaleters/res.
6:00 pm – Round table 'The candidacy of the Valencian Musical Societies for Intangible Heritage of Humanity – UNESCO'.
7:00 pm – Presentation of the book 'An approach to the folklore of the Valencian Community'. By the author Pol Alcaide. Lecture-Concert with a brief introduction to medieval music with traditional and medieval artisan instruments.
8:00 pm – Presentation to music of the 'Calendar against cancer 2023' by the Association against Cancer. The music presentation will be enlivened by Marta Fornali.

Sunday November 13

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – El Prado
From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Reed instrument construction workshop, led by Miquel Claramunt. We manufacture Murgas and Repicador (For all audiences).
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – 'Resounds the Navy' Micro-concerts live
11:00 am – Initial parade with Benibatuka (Vall de Gallinera).
11.30 am – 'Micro-concert by Jean Jass' (Orba, Xaló and Pego)
12.15 pm – Eva Olivencia presents her album 'Vivir' (Dénia)
1:00 p.m. – Performance of the Fable by the Orba Municipal School of Music
5:00 p.m. – Rebeca Mut presents her album ´Mujeres Salvajes´ and acoustic news.
5.45 pm – '5FanBrass concert' (Jávea, Gata de Gorgos, Ondara, El Verger and Benitachell).
6.30 pm – 'Concert-presentation of the album El Espejo de Kela (Pego)

*Throughout the weekend: Artisan stalls with local products and tastings from the Marina Alta.
