The Department of Tourism of Teulada Moraira, delegate in susanne katzgrau, has collected data from tourists who have visited the municipality this summer.
The report first presents the total figures of people served by Tourist Info during the months of June, July and August, along with the demands and requests that these people have made and the number of services provided.
– Accumulated total people: 6,087
– Total accumulated demands: 11,435
– Accumulated total attentions: 3,157
Secondly, the most consulted topics, ordered by type and from highest to lowest demand: local information, festivals, Costa Blanca, cultural activities, transport, sports activities, natural landscapes, campsites, hotels and Wi-Fi.
Regarding the data of tourist occupation During this summer season, obtained from consulting accommodation companies, the figures are the following:
- Occupancy percentage for the month of June: 77,21%
- Occupancy percentage for the month of July: 87,89%
- Occupancy percentage for the month of August: 93,62%
The origin of clients of hotel establishments has been the following, ordered from highest to lowest, from the Valencian Community and the Community of Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and Murcia, at the level national; and, at the level international, from the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands.
Tourist rental management companies
Occupancy percentage for the month of June: 47%
Occupancy percentage for the month of July: 76,31%
Occupancy percentage for the month of August: 89,50%
The origin of tourist rental clients has been the following, ordered from highest to lowest, from the Valencian Community and the Community of Madrid, the Basque Country and Aragon, at the level national; and, at the level international, from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and Canada.
In summary, according to the data collected during the summer of 2023, Teulada Moraira remains in line with last year with an average of around 80% occupation, with the novelty of the increase in tourists from the Netherlands in tourist rentals and maintaining the main autonomous communities, such as the Valencian Community itself and Madrid, both in the hotel sector and in vacation rentals.
The Councilor for Tourism, susanne katzgrau, has pointed out the importance of accounting and recording the demands of our tourism, “as it is an effective tool for define tourism promotion strategies and, at the same time, to advance our constant project of turning Teulada Moraira into a Smart Tourist Destination.”
Likewise, with this data, the different tourism companies in the municipality “can offer specialized products and services, novel actions and more personalized experiences”added Katzgrau.
